4 days Kilimanjaro hike and Maasai cultural tour is a safari experience which will take place around different destinations in the northern part of Tanzania like Mount Kilimanjaro which is a famous hiking destination and also the highest mountain in Africa.
You will also engage in canoeing on Lake Duluti and enjoy a cultural tour experience with the Maasai people during the 4 days Tanzania safari.
Day 1; arrival
Your guide will pick you up from the airport upon arrival in Tanzania and welcome you for your safari. After introductions, you will be driven to your hotel in Moshi for check in. Depending on your time of arrival, you will explore Moshi town with your guide and get to experience the life of the locals that live at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro.
After your tour, you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2; Kilimanjaro hike
After having breakfast at your hotel in Moshi town, your guide will pick you up and you will proceed for a transfer to the foothills of Kilimanjaro Mountain, the highest free standing mountain in the world, and the highest mountain in Africa.
You will embark on a hike of the Marangu route on Mount Kilimanjaro, which will take you 6 hours to ascend and descend. After returning from the hike, you will be driven to your hotel in Moshi town from where you will have dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3; canoeing on Lake Duluti
Your breakfast will be served at your hotel in Moshi ahead of your canoeing experience on Lake Duluti. You will engage in a canoeing experience on Lake Duluti which is a crater lake which is found just outside Arusha. You will engage in canoeing on the lake and also enjoy seeing different bird species during your canoe ride which takes about 2 hours.
You will also have lunch and return to Arusha for a city tour. You will have dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 4; Maasai cultural experience and departure
You will have breakfast at your hotel as you prepare for a Maasai cultural tour during which you will interact with the Maasai and get to know more about their way of life and culture and also get to know how to make local arts and crafts like beaded jewelry of the Maasai. You will also enjoy a traditional lunch and after this experience, your guide will drive you to Arusha and drop you off at the airport or your hotel which will bring the safari to an end.
