Detailed itinerary
Day 1; pick up and drive to Masai Mara national reserve
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi on the 1st day of your safari and you will have a short briefing of the safari. You will continue your safari to the Masai Mara national reserve from Nairobi which will take about 4 to 5 hours.
On arrival at your lodge, you will check in for lunch and after your lunch, you will engage in a game drive around Masai Mara national reserve where you will search for wildlife species such as lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, giraffes, hippos, antelopes, impalas, kudu, waterbucks among others. After this game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Sentrim Mara camp.
Day 2; morning and afternoon game drives
You will engage in morning and afternoon game drives in Masai Mara national reserve as you look out for various wildlife species such as elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, wildebeests, giraffes, warthogs, impalas, hartebeests among others.
Your day will start with an early morning game drive around Masai Mara national reserve after breakfast at your lodge. You will also enjoy lunch and later engage in an afternoon game drive. After exploring the Mara the whole day in search of wildlife species, your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Sentrim Mara camp.
Day 3; Masai Mara to Serengeti national park
After breakfast at your lodge, you will check out and your guide will drive you to Serengeti national park. You will cross to Tanzania via the Isebania border. You will enjoy an enroute game drive on your way to your lodge in Serengeti national park where you will have dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 4; morning and afternoon game drives
Your full day in Serengeti national park will start with breakfast at your lodge ahead of a morning game drive around the national park after which you will have lunch. After lunch you will engage in an afternoon game drive in the national park.
During your afternoon game drive, you will look out for wildlife species such as lions, leopards, buffalos, elephants, giraffes, hippos, hyenas, warthogs, impalas, wildebeests, zebras, antelopes among others. Dinner and overnight will be at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 5; drive to Ngorongoro crater
After breakfast at your lodge, you will drive from the central part of Serengeti national park and transfer to the Ngorongoro crater which is another big 5 destination. You will descend about 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater.
You will enjoy a game drive around the Ngorongoro crater where you will look out for various wildlife species along the crater floor such as black rhinos, elephants, lions, buffalos, rhinos, waterbucks, impalas, hippos, zebras, wildebeests among others. Dinner and overnight will be at Hhando coffee lodge.
Day 6; return to Arusha
Breakfast will be served at your lodge and after checking out, you will be driven to Arusha where your guide will drop you off at the airport which will bring the 6 day Mara and Serengeti Tanzania safari to an end.
