Day 1: Pick up, Kilimanjaro Hike
Your Tanzania safari guide shall pick you from the hotel in Arusha and transfer to the foothills of Kilimanjaro Mountain, the highest free standing mountain in the world, and the highest mountain in Africa. You shall proceed to embark on a hike of the Marangu route, which will take you 6 hours to ascend and descend. After, you shall be driven to Moshi town from where you shall have dinner and an overnight stay at Africa Safari Arusha for Budget, Masai Land Safari Lodge for Mid-range, and Gran Melia Arusha for Luxury
Day 2: Drive to Serengeti National Park
Drive Time: 7 Hours. Flight Option Available
Your guide will pick you up from Arusha and you will start your drive from Arusha to Serengeti national park which is a destination known for the big five and for amazing wildlife viewing. You will be driven to the lodge for your dinner and to spend the night at Ikoma Tented Camp for Budget, Central Serengeti Tanzania Bush Camp for Mid-range, and Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge for Luxury.
Day 3: Full day in Serengeti National Park
After your breakfast early at your lodge, your guide will take you on a morning game viewing experience around the vast savannah plains of Serengeti national park where you will look for wildlife species like the big five and also wildebeests, hippos, elands, impalas, kudu, waterbucks, zebras, gazelles, giraffes and predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs among others.
You will also have lunch after your morning game drive and later engage in another game drive in the national park to search for other wildlife species and your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 4: Flight to Zanzibar Island
Your guide will drive you to Seronera airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival at the airport in Zanzibar you will be picked up and driven to your hotel for check in and for dinner and overnight stay at Zanzibar Beach Resort for Budget and Mid-range, Nungwi Dreams Hotel for Luxury.
Day 5: Stone Town, Prison Island and Spice Tour
You will have breakfast at your hotel and after this you will start your day’s activities including a city tour around Zanzibar Island.
Take a private boat from Stone town to Changuu Island or Prison Island where you will enjoy seeing the Giant tortoises and during your tour of the island as well as enjoy snorkeling. You will take a boat back from Changuu Island back to Stone town and engage in a spice tour as you explore the plantations where you will see different exotic spices and also get to know the uses of the spices like cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg among others. After the spice tour, you will return to your hotel for dinner and to spend the night as above.
Day 6: Departure
