6 Days Umbwe Route Trekking Safari

Day 1 Moshi to Umbwe gate to Umbwe Camp (5,249ft to 9,514ft)
You will be picked from your hotel in Moshi or around mount Kilimanjaro early in the morning after your cup of tea. Passing through the plantations till we reach to the Umbwe gate where briefing is done. You will meet your potters and senior guide alongside the chef then we start our 6 Days Umbwe route trekking safari. Our trek will take 5 to 6 hours to reach Umbwe Camp where we will have a rest and set our tents for relaxing and overnight.
Day 2 Umbwe Camp to Barranco Camp (9,514ft to 13,044ft)
On our 2nd day of the trek, we wake up early for breakfast then we start our trek further following the rocky terrain. The elevation gains as we keep going high and flattens when we approach the Barranco valley. Proceed to our camp for the rest of the day and overnight at the camp.
Day 3 Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp (13,044ft to 13,106ft)
Day 3 of 6 Days Umbwe route trekking safari starts with heavy breakfast then we descending into a ravine to the base of Barranco wall. The trek is steep though not very technical nearly 900ft cliff. We will cross some hills and valleys as we go down to Karanga valley where we will set our tents as we wait for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 Karanga Camp to Barafu camp (13,106ft to 15,331ft)
Depart Karanga camp for Barafu camp passing through the Mweka trail and rocky section of Barafu hut. We will be completing the Southern circuit that offers a good view of the summit from different angles. We reach the camp early and have enough rest as we prepare ourselves for the next great day of reaching the peak.
Day 5 Barafu to Uhuru Peak down to Mweka camp (15,331ft to 19,341ft to 10,065ft)
Waking up in the middle of the night and start our final attempt to the summit. This is the long-awaited day of our 6 Days Umbwe route trekking safari. We use our headlamps and ascend through the darkness for some good time before we reach to Stella point where we rest before we hit our last journey to Uhuru peak where we reach as the sun rises. Observe the sunrise above all other African people.
Jubilate at the peak before we descend down to Mweka camp where we will enjoy a good relaxing night full of joy and happiness. We have en-route lunch at Barafu camp then we proceed down to Mweka camp.
Day 6 Mweka camp to Mweka gate to Moshi (10,065ft to 5,380ft)
Our last day of 6 Days Umbwe route trekking safari!! Covered with happiness and joy we will descend to the main gates where certificates are issued before we drive back to Moshi or to the airport to catch up your flight back home.
