7 Days Umbwe Route Trekking
7 Days Umbwe Route Trekking starts with pick up from Moshi or any Hotel around Kilimanjaro Mountain. This is an amazing safari in Tanzania.
Day 1 Moshi to Umbwe Gate to Umbwe Cave Camp
Transfer to the main gate of Machame where you will be met by your potters and chef, have registration and briefing from the park rangers. After we drive to Umbwe gate where we will start the trekking of the day passing through the Montane forests which is sometimes muddy especially during wet season. We trek to our camp where we perch our tents under huge trees at the Cave.
Day 2 Umbwe Cave Camp to Barranco camp
Starting our 7 Days Umbwe Route Trekking with heavy breakfast before we start the new day. We complete the Montane forest then join the rocky terrain covered with trees, passing through ridges. The higher you go the cooler it becomes as the altitude increases and catches a glimpse of Mt Kilimanjaro as it raises majestically. We descend down to the Barranco camp located below the Barranco wall. Have a sunset view as we enjoy the breeze of the African mountain. Dinner and overnight served
Day 3 Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Day 3 of our 7 Days Umbwe Route Trekking starts with an early morning cup of tea before we depart Barranco Camp. We ascend more to Karanga Valley passing through Barranco Wall which seems to be the hardest part of the hike. After reaching the top we slope slowly down to the valley as we reach to the camp.
Day 4 Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
After breakfast, begin the new day hike to the next camp that is Barafu Camp. We have clear views of the day like Kibo glaciers, reaching to the junction that connects the descent Mweka and Machame trail and most importantly hikes by the Heim, Kersten and Decken Glaciers. The camp is located in alpine desert vegetation hence giving you a clear view of the Mawenzi peak and Kibo Peak.
Day 5 Baranfu to Uhuru peak to Mweka Camp
It’s a day of glory in 7 Days Umbwe Route Trekking safari, this is a day we reach the summit enjoy the pleasure and happiness at the peak after reaching. The trek starts at mid-night with light hot water and biscuits, putting on our headlamps for light well equipped for the glorious journey. Have a brief stop at Stella’s point then continue to the Uhuru peak where we will take some time before we slope down to Barafu camp for lunch. After lunch descends down to Mweka Camp where we continue with our celebrations.
Day 6 Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
As we come into the final day of our 7 Days Umbwe Route Trekking in the bush, we have early breakfast before we descend down to the gate where we receive our certificates before our driver-guide will take us to Moshi where our celebrations reach at the peak with a toss of Kilimanjaro beer. Dinner and overnight
Day 7 Departure
We say bye-bye to Kilimanjaro depending on your next destination you will be transferred to the airport to catch up with your flight.
