8 days Tarangire, Serengeti and Zanzibar safari is a tour which starts in Arusha and will be done across the northern part of Tanzania where you will visit Tarangire national park and enjoy seeing many elephants during the safari. You will also take part in a safari around the central part of Serengeti national park.
The safari will also take you to the beautiful island of Zanzibar for a chance to relax at the beach, engage in a tour around the historical stone town, take a private boat to Changuu island or Prison island where you will take part in snorkeling. You will also engage in the famous safari blue tor during your safari in Tanzania which will end in Zanzibar.
Day 1; pick up and drive to Tarangire national park
Your guide will pick you up from Arusha and welcome you for your safari. After you have been briefed, you will drive you to Tarangire national park which is famous for its large numbers of elephants.
You will have lunch and also engage in an afternoon game drive during which you will search for various wildlife species such as klipspringers, elands, buffalos, lions, leopards and many others. You will spend the night at Tarangire Roika lodge (midrange), Elewana Tarangire treetops lodge (luxury).
Day 2; drive to Serengeti national park
Your guide will pick you up from the lodge and you will start your drive to Serengeti national park which is a destination known for the big five and for amazing wildlife viewing. You will engage in a game drive around the national park as you search for various wildlife species.
You will be driven to the lodge for your dinner and to spend the night at Serengeti Serena lodge (luxury), Serengeti heritage luxury tented camp (midrange).
Day 3; full day in Serengeti national park
On the 3rd day of your 8 days Tarangire, Serengeti and Zanzibar safari, After your breakfast early at your lodge, your guide will take you on a morning game viewing experience around the vast savannah plains of Serengeti national park where you will look for wildlife species like the big five and also wildebeests, hippos, elands, impalas, kudu, waterbucks, zebras, gazelles, giraffes and predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs among others.
You will also have lunch after your morning game drive and later engage in another game drive in the national park to search for other wildlife species and your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Serena lodge (luxury), Serengeti heritage luxury tented camp (midrange).
Day 4; drive to Arusha
You will have breakfast at your lodge in Tarangire national park ahead of your drive to Arusha where your guide will drop you off at your hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Arusha Serena lodge (luxury), Tulia boutique hotel and spa (midrange).
Day 5; flight to Zanzibar island
Your guide will drive you to Arusha airport for your flight to Zanzibar island. On arrival at the airport in Zanzibar you will be picked up and driven to your hotel for check in and for dinner and overnight stay at Zanzibar Serena hotel (luxury), Kendwa rocks beach resort (midrange)
Day 6; city tour, visit Prison island and spice tour
On the 6th day of your 8 days Tarangire, Serengeti and Zanzibar safari, You will have breakfast at your hotel and after this you will start your day’s activities including a city tour around Zanzibar island.
You will also take a private boat from Stone town to Changuu island or Prison island where you will enjoy seeing the Giant tortoises and during your tour of the island you will also enjoy snorkeling. You will take a boat back from Changuu island back to Stone town. On this day you will also engage in a spice tour as you explore the plantations where you will see different exotic spices and also get to know the uses of the spices like cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg among others. After the spice tour, you will return to your hotel for dinner and to spend the night at Zanzibar Serena hotel (luxury), Kendwa rocks beach resort (midrange)
Day 7; safari blue excursion
After having breakfast early at your hotel, you will set out for a safari blue experience which starts in Fumba village. You will take a boat for this tour and also enjoy tasting a variety of tropical fruits during the tour as well as a variety of foods. You will also enjoy snorkeling during this experience after which you will be driven to your hotel where you will relax and spend the rest of the evening enjoying views of the Indian ocean and you will spend the night at Zanzibar Serena hotel (luxury), Kendwa rocks beach resort (midrange)
Day 8; departure
On the last day of your 8 days Tarangire, Serengeti and Zanzibar safari, you will have breakfast and check out of your hotel and you will be driven to the airport for your flight out of Zanzibar which will bring the safari to an end.
